College Football: Week 6

Well here we are, after a week of BIG games we have a little bit of a more laid back weekend. Last week the JWSB faired o.k. with the picks, but we are looking to go 100% this week. No HUGE HUGE games this weekend, but we all know that each week in college football is BIG. Here are the games I am interested in:

Indiana @ Ohio State– This may not look like a good matchup for the Hoosiers, but the will come in with confidence after nearly knocking off Michigan last week. IU Quarterback Ben Chappell turned some heads with his performance last week, and will look to build off his great play. The Buckeyes have been one of the most consistent teams of the still young season, and look to stay alive in the BCS National title hunt. This game will be close for awhile, with the Buckeyes making more plays late.
My Pick: Ohio State 33 Indiana 24

Alabama @ South Carolina– The big game of the day. It almost seems like the whole college football world is just waiting for Alabama to slip up, and this is just another chance for someone to sneak up on the Tide. South Carolina is coming off a tough loss to Auburn, but continues its “tour of Alabama” with a chance to knock off #1. Alabama is playing great football right now and looks like the true top team in the nation. The combination of Ingram and Richardson in the backfield is almost too good to be true. Both will be 1st round NFL picks. The Carolina fans will be wired to begin the game, but look for Bama to control this game on the ground.
My Pick: Alabama 30 South Carolina 20

Michigan State @ Michigan– Obviously a great rivalry, but this year’s matchup is the biggest in some time. Both teams are 5-0 and ranked in the top 25. Michigan QB Denard Robinson will look to continue his “video game” season against a talented Michigan State defense. Kirk Cousins and the State offense have been playing well while Greg Jones and the Spartan defense hope to contain Robinson. This will be a fun one to watch, definitely will tune in.
My Pick: Michigan 38 Michigan State 35

Florida State @ Miami– It’s the 90’s all over again! Well, kind of. Look for great play outta Ken Dorsey and Michael Irvin while the Seminole D lead by Marvin Jones and Deion Sanders look to slow them down.
My Pick: Miami 27 Florida State 20

Upset Pick of the Week: Iowa State 29 Utah 27

Game No One Cares About: Elizabeth City 30 Virginia Union 21
