Back Again..Naturally.

josh-hamilton1The above title has nothing to do really with the content of this post. I just haven’t posted in awhile and decided that I should start writing again. Something tells me it could be helpful one day. So how many of you had the Seattle leading their division at ANY time this year? What about the Florida Marlins? They have the best record in baseball (11-4) and seem to be the real deal. Of course, we are only about 2 weeks into the season, only about 150 or so more games to go.
Some quick baseball Points/Questions:
1. What’s wrong with Josh Hamilton (.231 avg, 1 homerun, 8 rbi)? Is it a slow start, injury, one year wonder?
2. The best pitcher in baseball is Zach Greinke. Yeah is a real player, plays for Kansas City. So far Greinke is 3-0 (leader) with a 0.00 ERA (leader) and 26 K’s (leader). He has opened this season with 20 scoreless innings and his streak is at 34 games. Very very good.
3. The Washington Nationals will lose 115 games this year. Yeah I really do believe that.

2009-draft-3001Ok, on to the NFL Draft. I don’t have much to say, other than this…I will watch a lot of the draft this weekend which is pretty pathetic. My wife thinks I am nutso. Anyway, here is my Top 10 Mock Draft:

1. Detroit Lions- Matt Stafford, QB, Georgia: I think it is pretty obvious that this guy will be a Lion. I mean, they have really good luck with former Highland Park quarterbacks.

2. St. Louis Rams- Jason Smith, T, Baylor: They just got rid of Orlando Pace and need an anchor for that offensive line. This is a very safe pick. Should be a good professional.

3. Kansas City Chiefs- Aaron Curry, OLB, Wake Forest: From all reports, this guy is a complete stud and a can’t miss prospect. Uh oh, sounds scary to me. He and Derrick Johnson should make up a pretty good linebacking duo.

4. Seattle Seahawks- Brian Orakpo, DE/LB, Texas: This would be a surprise to a lot of people, but Orakpo is a stud. He is what the experts call a “tweener”, but he has a lot of potential to be a great pass rushing specialist.

5. Cleveland Browns- Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech: The Browns lost a big weapon when The Soldier left for Tampa Bay. Crabtree would give the Browns another threat who could take a short pass the distance on any play.

6. Cincinnati Bengals- Eugene Monroe, T, VIrginia: Monroe is another great tackle prospect in this draft. Should be a consistent performer at the pro level.

7. Oakland Raiders- Jeremy Maclin, WR, Mizzou: There is no way the Raiders pass up a skill position player with speed. Maclin is their choice. He will be able stretch the field and perhaps return some kicks.

8. Jacksonville Jaguars- Mark Sanchez, QB, USC: Surprise pick? The Jaguars have been pretty bad on the offensive side of the ball. They won’t have to rush Sanchez in, but if he impresses, they can plug him with a pretty good running game.

9. Green Bay Packers- BJ Raji, DT, Boston College: He is the best DT in the draft. The Packers could use a playmaker in the middle of their line.

10. San Francisco 49ers- Michael Oher, T, Ole Miss: Another one of those good offensive lineman available in this draft. The 49ers seem to be happy with their QB’s (for now), now they just have to protect him.
