I missed my “Week 8” post last week. I was too busy with work and I actually missed writing it. I apologize to the fans. Anyway, this week should be another good one in college football.

Auburn @ West Virginia– This was a “game to watch” in my preseason post. It has turned out that both teams are unranked and not playing good football. Pat White, the talented QB for the Mountaineers is coming off an injury and is looking to inject some life into the WV offense. Auburn is a disappointing 4-3 (2-3 in SEC) with all of their losses coming in close games (combined 9 points). Look for Mountaineer RB Noel Devine to get significant touches in the game while Auburn will be lead by its stingy defense. My Pick:
West Virginia 27 Auburn 17

Texas vs. Oklahoma State– A battle of top 10 teams. Oklahoma State has not beaten Texas since 1997 and has not won in Austin since the 1940’s. Oklahoma State is the most balanced team the Longhorns have faced this season with Kendall Hunter (ranked 6th in the nation rushing) and Dez Bryant (2nd in the nation in yards per game receiving and 3rd in touchdown receptions). #1 Texas is lead by Heisman front runner Colt McCoy who is completing 81% of his passes. The Longhorn D is #2 in the nation in stopping the run which will be key in Saturday’s game. Look for the Horns to put a lot of pressure on Zac Robinson causing a couple of turnovers. My pick:
Texas 41 Oklahoma State 27

Other Picks:
Texas Tech 38 Kansas 35- Shootout in Lawrence.
Georgia 24 LSU 20
Penn State 28 Ohio State 27
