Cornucopia.

We are getting really close to a sports fans perfect time of year. Right now, here is what is going on in the world of sports:
1. College Football- We all know how I feel about this subject, but millions of other fans feel the same way.
2. NFL- the most popular team sport in the country.
3. MLB Playoffs- The League Championships are starting, which leads to the October Classic.
4. NBA Preseason- It’s not the regular season, but pro basketball is back.
5. NHL- Hockey, the forgotten sport. It’s fun to watch and even better in person.
6. High School Sports- It’s always fun to see young people competing. It’s where it all begins.
7. Nascar- Not my cup of tea, but it is the most popular sport in the country.

It’s a Cornucopia of Sports.

How in the world does NASCAR rank as the most popular sport? How do they measure it?

Nate..not sure how they measure. # of fans at the actual events (which can be well over 100,000 each race). I am going off of what I have been told, even though I don’t believe Nascar is as popular as Football. They also go with merchandise sold. I can’t drive down Broadway in Tyler without seeing a “Dale Jr”. sticker or Jeff Gordon magnet. I am definitely not much of a Nascar guy.
